From the team behind moonlight

Your morning recovery check. No wearable needed.

A guided 60-second face scan shows your heart rate, HRV and breathing, and how they change over time. Just your phone. Nothing to wear to bed.

From moonlight glasses to moonScan.

Since 2021, 36,996 customers have chosen moonlight glasses and sleep products. moonScan is our new product, from the same team.

Sixty seconds of stillness.

Try a sped-up example of a real morning scan, then see what we're building next.

  • Face the light

Fit your face in the oval, near a window.

  • Hold still for 60 seconds

Breathe normally. It may run a little longer if needed.

  • See your signals

Heart rate, plus HRV and breathing when the signal is clear.

On average, within about 1 bpm of a Fitbit.

Our internal test against a Fitbit worn during the same scans.

  • 118 paired scans
  • 1.1 bpm average difference
  • 94% within 3 bpm
  • 98% within 5 bpm

Internal test using our current engine. Heart rate only, not HRV or breathing. Fitbit is a consumer wearable, not a medical reference, and this is not a clinical study.

A check-in. Not another thing to wear.

The honest tradeoff

Wearables track you all night, so they capture more, like sleep stages. moonScan is a morning snapshot, not an overnight tracker.

A general comparison of wearable types, not a product review. Features and prices vary by model. Oura, WHOOP, Fitbit and Apple Watch are trademarks of their owners.

What you get, now and next.

Preview: in development

Your heart rate, HRV and breathing, turned into three simple readings compared with your usual mornings.

  • Energy

How ready are you for the day?

  • Stress

Is your body under strain this morning?

  • Recovery

    Has your body bounced back?

In testing with a small group. Not available yet. Early members try each one first.

It started in a hospital room.

Sabi, my fiancée, had a severe inflammatory attack and nearly lost her vision.

Through her recovery, sleep became the one thing we could look after every single day. That became moonlight.

It also showed us how little we knew about what was happening inside her body until it could no longer be ignored. moonScan is our way to check in with your body a little more often: one calm minute each morning, with the phone you already have.

Quick answers.

How does moonScan work?

Open moonScan in your phone's browser and look into the front camera for about a minute. It reads the tiny colour changes each heartbeat makes in your skin. It runs in the browser on iPhone and Android and needs a front camera.

Do I need a wearable?

No. Just your phone. Nothing to buy, charge or wear in bed.

What does the scan measure?

Heart rate, plus HRV and breathing rate when the signal is clear. If a value is not reliable, the result says so. No blood pressure, blood oxygen or sleep stages.

What are the energy, stress and recovery readings?

Our next step: simple answers to "Am I ready?", "Am I stressed?" and "Have I recovered?", compared with your own usual mornings. They are in testing with a small group and not available yet. Early members try each one first.

Is this medical advice?

No. moonScan is a wellness tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. For health concerns, talk to a doctor.

How accurate is it?

In our internal test of 118 scans using our current engine, heart rate differed from a Fitbit worn at the same time by an average of 1.1 bpm and was within 3 bpm in 94% of scans. Heart rate only, not HRV or breathing, and not a clinical study. Light, movement and your camera affect results.

How is this different from Oura, WHOOP or a watch?

Wearables track your whole night, including sleep stages, so they give more data. moonScan is a morning check-in without a device in bed. Using both is fine.

What is the 1:1 call with Viktor?

Every early member can book one personal video call with Viktor, who founded moonlight. Talk about your mornings and readings, your sleep, energy and daily habits, and what moonScan should do better. You pick a time on the welcome page right after payment. It is a wellness conversation, not medical advice or a diagnosis. For health concerns, talk to a doctor.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Use "Manage subscription" at the bottom of this page, enter the email you paid with, and Stripe sends you a sign-in code. You keep access until the end of the month or year you paid for. The one-month pass never renews, so there is nothing to cancel; when it ends, you can switch to monthly or 12 months.

What if it is not for me?

Email viktor@moonlightokuliare.sk within 14 days of your first payment and we refund it in full, no reason needed. This applies to every plan. The money goes back to the card you paid with. Details are in our refund policy.

How often should I scan?

Once each morning: soon after waking, before coffee or exercise, in the same light. History shows your personal baseline after about ten check-ins with a clear heart rate.

Is my data private?

The live image is processed in your browser. For HRV and breathing, small face crops go through our server to our partner VitalLens. Results are saved to your account. Face snapshots are saved by default. You can turn them off in Settings, which changes storage, not the measurement.
